MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE

LEARNING OUTCOME- Integrating drawing, collage, glue, tape, acrylic and oil paints we will explore different techniques and processes to tell stories, and 
create different images, textures and effects.

A. Focusing on experimentation adds a sense of adventure and freedom.

C. Learn how taking risks with the art allows us to confront our fears about it opening the door to more spontaneity.

MATERIALS

You will need a thick hot or cold press illustration board 15"x20," magazine and newspaper pages for the collage elements, graphite sticks (pencils if you prefer or both), kneaded eraser, barrel/stick eraser, pearl eraser, various size brushes from small to 3" flat brushes, acrylic paints (as many colors as you want), acrylic matte medium, oil paints (as many colors as you want), SpectraFix Spray Fixative, glue stick, clear packing tape, Turpenoid Natural, 2 containers- one for water and for the Turpenoid, palette paper pad or butcher tray (to mix your paints in), piece of cloth or soft paper towels, latex gloves.

However, if you cannot make the class you signed up for, you may use your registration for another class (of similar value) or sell/transfer the class to another person. We realize that unexpected issues may arise which prevent you from attending a class but remember that a space has been set aside for you. This policy is firm. You must notify us in writing (via email) of any changes.

If this class is canceled for any reason, we will make every effort to reschedule it and transfer your registration, otherwise your registration fee will be refunded.
