ENTERTAINMENT DESIGN - ENVIRONMENTS - Two Classes

Must have an iPad with Procreate or laptop computer with Photoshop.
For serious teens and up
We learn from concept design principles used in the film, games and publishing industries and begin to build the visual intelligence of your worlds. Picking a story or genre we create the environments where it all takes place. Students must have some proficiency in drawing, and in Photoshop.
DAY ONE- Almost all stories are told within an environment, and these places need to be visualized. After determining the genre and audience of the story we look at creating a simple style guide to set rules for these places. We will do some online research for reference and then start to sketch out ideas.
- We refine the best sketches and bring them into Photoshop to work on them further.
DAY TWO- Environments can be time consuming so we will continue to refine this art to as much as possible. Looking at the quality of the student's work in comparison to industry standards gives them a fair assessment of what is necessary to work as a professional.
MATERIALS
Graphite sticks, pencils, kneaded eraser, stick/barrel eraser, sketchbook, and iPad with Procreate or laptop computer with Photoshop.

However, if you cannot make the class you signed up for, you may use your registration for another class (of similar value) or sell/transfer the class to another person. We realize that unexpected issues may arise which prevent you from attending a class but remember that a space has been set aside for you. This policy is firm. You must notify us in writing (via email) of any changes.
If this class is canceled for any reason, we will make every effort to reschedule it and transfer your registration, otherwise your registration fee will be refunded.
