A Peek At The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

I enjoyed working as a concept designer with director Michael Apted on the third Narnia film, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader immensely. We connected right away with a visual direction. In the early script (which kept changing) a character called the Green Witch lived in an underwater castle beneath the sea and was enslaving the Narnians using a mystical serpent.

I worked heavily on concept designs for many of the Green Witch scenes which included different parts of the castle. I especially enjoyed designing her throne. Here is one version of what it might have looked like if this part of the script had not been tossed out altogether.
